Nokia developed this green phone using just recycled materials in the hope of reducing the environmental impact of mobile phones, I think we all want to live in a healthier world and to tell you the truth if this phone ever goes into production we can see this being a major success and of course winning Greenpeace love.

Title of work: Sony Ericsson biodegradable mobile phone
Materials, media: using bio-plastic housings, recycled plastic keypads
Function of the work: zero charger with 3.5mW standby power, digital manuals

I think this phone is fully biodegradable and is built with recyclable bio-plastic. It is called Green Heart and comes with recycled plastic keypads. Also manufactured is this “zero charger” with 3.5mW standby power that saves the electricity when it is connected to a power outlet but not to the cellphone. Now at least you can keep the charger connected to the power socket all the time and it won’t use energy as it does at the present time

I think Samsung mobile team is make an affort for an eco friendly, environmentally aware cell phone design. Samsung clover, it comes with four modules that you can attach to your phone, which will help collect, and share environmental awareness through a social collaborative called the ‘eco-map’. It also has a cool feature where the packaging can be used as a charger with its solar panels. The phone hence reduces energy use and also uses recyclable

Title of work: Moto W233
Materials, media: using plastics comprised of recycled water bottles and the first carbon neutral phone.
Function of the work :  9 hours of talk time and up to 18 days of standby

I think this mobile phone  is touted to be an ideal device for eco-conscious consumers as it constitutes materials made out of recycled water bottles and is fully recyclable.

Function of the work: Solar-powered Charging, 5 mega pixel camera

I think this phone makes use of the solar energy and not the traditional eco-friendly materials to work towards green peace. All the credits go to Eddie Goh for his efforts to make use of a chemically based thin solar skin that assures battery charging as and when exposed to sunlight or any kind of light.

In my point of view, Samsung reinforced its commitment to protect the environment through the design of eco-friendly products and a programme of activities for its customers
Designed to symbolize a flat and rounded shiny pebble, Blue Earth is the first solar powered touchscreen phone. By charging with the solar panel located on the back of the phone, users can generate enough electronic power to call anytime anywhere.

Function of the work : simply need to point the phone’s solar towards natural light

I think a solar-powered system is an important source for eco-friendly.
The prototype, which features a solar-powered battery built right into the back cover, will be able to generate enough energy for 3 minutes worth of talk time for every 10 minutes of sun it soaks in. If left in natural light for longer periods of time, the battery will be able to power the phone for longer periods of time, eliminating or reducing the need for a conventional charger.

W510 is Samsung’s first mobile phone with ‘bio-plastic’ made from natural material extracted from corn. I think this phone is also used eco-friendly material compared with common plastic produced from petroleum.
